Congressman Mike Rogers (R-AL), the Chairman of the House Armed Services Strategic Forces Subcommittee, made the following statement on the joint decision by the Republic of Korea and the United States to deploy Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) to Korea.

“I am proud of the decision our two countries have made to deploy a U.S. THAAD battery in South Korea. This is a vital move to deter and defend against the reckless conduct of the Kim regime in the North. I believe our alliance should look for additional opportunities to enhance our cooperation to promote regional security and deter regional aggression.”
