Rep. Rogers Secures Over $915K in Federal Funding for First Responders in AL-03

WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Mike Rogers (AL-03), today announced over $915,000 in federal funding for first responders in East Alabama. The funding is available through the Department of Homeland Security’s FY 2023 Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program. This funding will go directly to local fire departments to enhance the safety of first responders as well as the communities they serve.

“I am proud to announce over $915,000 in federal money is coming to first responders in Alabama’s Third Congressional District,” said Rep. Rogers. “This funding will bring our community’s firefighters essential supplies to perform their duties and ensure their safety.”

  • Town of Gaylesville: $24,200.00
  • City of Tallassee: $282,390.47
  • City of Alexander City: $28,666.66
  • City of Lafayette: $30,666.66
  • City of Goodwater: $35,333.33
  • Riverside Fire & Rescue Department: $36,571.42
  • City of Lincoln: $42,954.28
  • Lay Lake Volunteer Fire Department: $60,071.42
  • City of Moody: $76,190.47
  • Sycamore Volunteer Fire Department: $97,523.80
  • Alexandria Volunteer Fire Department: $74,857.14
