Rep. Rogers Invites Local High Schoolers to Participate in 2024 Congressional Art Competition

Winning Art Piece Will be Displayed in U.S. Capitol Building

WASHINGTON – U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers (AL-03), today announced his office is accepting entries from high school students in Alabama’s 3rd Congressional District for the annual Congressional Art Competition. Winning pieces from each Congressional District are displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year. This nationwide competition is a tremendous opportunity for young artists to demonstrate their talent. This year’s theme for the artwork is “Alabama the Beautiful.” Artwork must be submitted by March 28th, and additional guidelines for the competition can be found here.

“This Spring, students from Alabama’s Third District will have the opportunity to compete in the annual Congressional Art Competition through my office,” said Rep. Rogers. “The winning piece will hang in the U.S. Capitol for one year for visitors from around the world to see. I am excited to see what our young artists create to showcase our state’s beauty, and I encourage all interested students to visit my website or call my Oxford office for more details.”
