Seventh Grade Student Wins Congressional Art Contest

 (WASHINGTON, DC)—Today, Congressman Mike Rogers announced the winners of the Third Congressional District Art Competition.

                Sarah Crow, a seventh grade student at Ashville Middle School, took First Place, out of over 70 entries, for her artwork titled “Inspire the World.”  The medium for her winning artwork was photography. Crow’s artwork will be displayed for one year in the walkway leading to the U.S. Capitol.

                Second place went to Taylor Canterbury, a senior at St. Clair County High School, for his artwork titled “Henry the Bird.”  Third place was awarded to Icie Wallace, an 11th grader from Sylacauga who is homeschooled for her artwork titled, “Let Freedom Fly.”

                Due to COVID-19, all artwork submitted for the contest was featured on Congressman Rogers’ official Facebook page.
